Declare Yourself (formerly “Declaration of Independence”) is a national nonpartisan, nonprofit campaign to encourage eligible 18-29 year-olds in America to register to vote and to get their voices heard. Using the power of strategic media, celebrity spokespeople, and mobile and internet technology, Declare Yourself’s campaign is to reach out to young adults with the message “REGISTER and VOTE!”

Since 2004, Declare Yourself has registered almost 4 million young people via online registration and on-location sign-ups. In 2008 alone, 2.2 million young people used Declare Yourself’s online registration tool or registered through the Ultimate College Bowl national contest.
